Cap d’Agde Dress Code and what to Wear

Clothing for Cap 'dAgde

There are some questions that get asked time and time again and one area of inquisition is always around what to wear, clothing and general appearance and what to expect.

So in this post below, let me give you some answers to some of the common questions that I often get asked on these matters for staying Cap d’Agde village naturist resort.

What clothes should I bring to Cap d’Agde as a Naturist?

The first thought you will likely have is ‘why do I need clothes when visiting a naturist resort’.

The truth is that you can certainly stay clothes-free 24 hours a day and seven days a week in the resort and some brave souls do.

I say brave because it can get a bit cooler sometimes in the late evenings and it is too cold for me at least.

You will find that in the evenings (even in the peak of summer) some clothing is a good idea, especially in months such as May, June, and September – times when it can sometimes rain also.

What clothes to bring really depends on what time of year you are visiting Cap d’Agde.

In the evening many women in the resort go to the bars and restaurants dressed up in sexy gear, whilst the men often dress casually.

You can wear as little or as much as you want and the choices made vary greatly.

In the evenings, many guys typically wear shoes and a half-decent pair of trousers, and a shirt.

The clubs normally expect guys to wear shoes (rather than sandals) and to be semi-well-dressed as it were.

You get a bit of everything at Cap and you will, for example, see some guys walking around in bondage gear in the evenings, some people clothes-less (the ones determined to remain so for the full duration of their trip), and people wearing just about everything the imagination can conceive of.

Expect to see the unexpected. It is what makes so many people smile and interested in this resort.

Women tend to be able to get into the clubs and dress up in just about everything imaginable in the evenings.

Sexy lingerie of all types and with as little or much covering them as they wish for the evening.

What do I need to pack?

Tell me what to Pack so that I do not miss anything – Everyone packs different things according to one’s interests and dress sense but let me list all of the items I can think to suggest and which might be worth checking for once you have packed everything you personally can think of.

What exactly is the dress code

In the daytime technically nudity is obligatory.

In practice, though you often notice people who are walking around with clothes on as they walk to the beach for example, or back to the hotel.

Most people wear clothes when it is cold or in the evening. Although there is public nudity on a large scale in the daytime, the evenings are a time when people wear their sexiest gear including leather, straps, lycra and PVC clothing.

Some people dress in less sexy clothing and simply wear shirts, T-shirts or a dress. You can pretty much dress in anything you want or do not want to.

What about my body shape?

Does it matter if I am out of shape? Will I look out of place? – One of the truly great things about naturism and about a resort such as this is that you see people literally of all shapes, sizes, and age and no one cares.

Everyone is as naked as can be and once you get used to being nude, you will realize that no one cares.

You will soon begin to realize that naturist s are actually far more relaxed about everything than you will experience on a textile holiday.

There is no excuse though if you want to keep fit whilst on holiday as there is a gym in the Natueva Spa Hotel in the resort.

Many people also choose to take daily long walks the length of the naturist beach and several people job the beach when it is relatively quiet in the early morning.

Shaving or Waxing as a Naturist?

Answer from Michael Peters.

To shave or not to shave – A common question from first-time visitors to the resort is often about waxing and shaving.

The situation is that many men and women shave their pubic hairs for a cleaner look, but at the same time enough people do not bother to shave or wax.

The advice usually from Cap d’Agger’s is that shaving a week or two before arriving at the resort is the best idea because this will give your skin time to refresh, before you hit the sun and salty ocean waters.

Waxing is painful and temporary. Laser is expensive and also requires multiple treatments to get it all waxed in full.

You can use a very good razor such as a fusion and much to my amazement (and believe me, I was skeptical) the five blades actually does give you a much more comfortable shave.

I use one for my face and a separate one for pubic areas but the difference between the newer multi-blade razors and the older single or double blades is amazing.

We don’t use shaving cream, such as Edge or similar products because there is some sort of perfume or spicy ingredient that I suppose is supposed to smell nice or make your face feel good.

On the pubic region, it is an irritant that starts to give you a burning sensation after a couple of minutes. We use shampoo conditioner.

It is smooth, gentle and lubricates the blade extremely well. Take your time and be careful, always making sure that the blade is moving in a straight line.

Nicks and cuts are extremely rare with these newer blades but, like any blade, sideways movement can give you a cut (on your face too).

If you have never shaved before there will be a lot of hair that will build up in the blades. You have to clean it out as you proceed. It also takes a bit of time the first time.

It isn’t a good idea to shave and shave and shave to get everything as this will cause irritation. Better to take away most of the hair and then give it a day or two before you finish.

Once you are smooth you can shave every day or two to maintain it. It only takes a moment once you have all of the hair removed and you are only doing maintenance.

If you keep it trimmed you won’t have any stubble or irritation or itching. This is exactly the same as if you were shaving your face.

The choice of shaving or waxing really comes down to PERSONAL PREFERENCE and CHOICE.

There are also social norms and fashion. Let’s face it, most men (in the Western world) shave their faces and no one gives it a second thought, yet that certainly isn’t natural.

I don’t like the feeling of a beard so I choose to shave. Most people shave their pubic areas these days, so it becomes what looks “normal” (fashionable).

You can wear bell bottoms if you want (choice) but it isn’t what people are wearing today.

Maybe in future, bushy pubes will come back and quite likely, people will adopt the “new” look.

“If you want the hair gone permanently waxing is the best.

Yes, it hurts!

With waxing there is less and less hair to do so it hurts less and less.

Also, you do not have the stubble or itching.”
