Nudist beach in France

When do the Mousse parties take Place and what do I need

The mousse parties (or bubbles parties or foam party as some people also call them) are some people’s favorite part of their annual trip to Cap d’Agde. The mousse parties are quite unique and difficult to explain to anyone who has not been to a party. But let me try to….

The parties take place in the daytime in the outside space of Le Glamour (right next to the beach and hence you can always hear the music from the beach area in front of Le Glamour when the parties are going on) and normally from 1 pm to 7 pm.

The parties are open to mixed couples only and the dress code is naked only but you can buy a small necklace-type waterproof container that you can put your money and cigarettes into.

On entering the foam party area, you will see a very sizeable pool/hot tub, dance area, bar, and a lot of chairs and sunscreens in the large outdoor area. Pretty much everything goes on at the foam party so being open-minded is the key!

The parties only ever take place when the weather is good and for this reason, July and August are the best months to be in Cap d’Agde if you want to have the best chance of being here when one of the world-famous foam parties takes place.

Where does the foam come into it? Stand on the dance floor (not underneath the foam machine unless you want to get lost under the foam) and you will soon see why.

When is the best time to go to Cap d’Agde

In the month of May, things can be fairly quiet and shops and restaurants will still be opening up for the season and visitors’ numbers are still not so high at this time of year: the weather can also be a bit iffy during May.

May can be good though if you want to go when it is a bit quiet, cheaper rentals and not too hot. I went in May and it rained a few days and a few days the weather was good.

September can be similar to May although September is quite popular with several people as there are often many days of decent sunshine in September and still enough going on.

Going into June it starts to get warmer and a bit busier and rental rates are still in the lower season, for the most part.

Then moving into July and August the resort is at its peak, with the best weather, highest rental rates, and biggest crowds.

The weather is much more reliable but you will pay more and it is much more crowded, so it all depends on what you are looking for.

“Expect the unexpected at Cap d’Agde. I never expected to see the Managing Director’s secretary from work, walking past me naked with her husband.

A quiet and upper class women who one would have thought shuns such a lifestyle. Alas….we are all equal naked”

Is there a Pharmacy in case I need one, in the resort?

The simple answer is yes. There is a first-class pharmacy just outside the gates opposite the estate agents and the Cap office. What’s more they speak English. There is one just at the entrance to the naturist quarter. Facilities in the resort include a:

  • Pharmacy
  • Post office
  • Garage for fuel
  • several bakers, supermarkets
  • Several newspaper and tobacconist shops
  • Wine store
  • Many clothing shops
  • Many restaurants and take-away food options ie pizza places.
  • Butchers
  • and much more

Is the Resort full of old people? I am only 25 and wondering if I will fit?

Probably one of the most common questions I am always asked by friends who are intrigued when they hear about this place called Cap d’Agde is about the age range of the visitors.

There seems to be an impression that you will only see old and overweight people in a naturist resort and whilst there are many older people and many overweight people, Cap d’Agde really sees people of all ages and nationalities as its guest.

Whatever age, nationality, shape, or interest group you are, there are few places like this resort when it comes to acceptance.

The nature of naturists themselves is that they tend to be very accepting and it is probably fair to say that for many naturists, the very fact that everyone has a different shape and is unique is the beauty of it all.

There is quite a high percentage of people ages over fifty who visit the resort but you certainly will see people of all ages.

If you are in your twenties and do not have an ounce of fat on your body, you will fit in fine and just the same as every other visitor.

Once everyone is naked a lot of the pretense associated with body image is shredded away. Do not worry about your age or your body shape and come down and see us all in Cap d’Agde!

Can you suggest any good erotic books to read whilst I am at the resort?

Having put this very question to the Cap DAgde Yahoo Group, the Top 10 books chosen were as follows:
